Manuscripts of the Islamic World at Princeton University Library

Digitized Manuscripts can be found in multiple ways. Use your facets (described in the How to Find Manuscripts tab) to your advantage. 

• Select Online under Access
• Select Special Collections under Library to ensure the results are manuscripts held at Princeton University Library and not digital resources that require a Princeton login.

This will produce results such as these Persian manuscripts available online.

The Digital Princeton University Library (DPUL) Manuscripts of the Islamic World online collection is publicly accessible to all. Collection highlights include:

• the al-Madani Library Collection
• Illuminated Manuscripts
• the Yemeni Manuscripts Digitization Initiative (online only)

and the digitized collections continue to grow, so be sure to return as we expand digital coverage of the Manuscripts of the Islamic World collections.

Please first search for the manuscript you want a digitized by following the How to find manuscripts instructions. Scroll down to the bottom of the relevant record when you find it, and make sure it has not already been digitized.
