WRI 141/142: Fashioning the Self: Bibliographies Made Simple!

Guide for help using the library during the writing seminar, with some specialized resources mentioned.

Style Guides and Bibliographic Management software

The PUL provides access to the Chicago Manual of Style online and the MLA Handbook (as well as others like APA, etc.).

Bibliographic management tools  enable you to store library sources in your own personal database and then incorporate the citations seamlessly into your research paper in whatever format your writing seminar requires. Within these tools you can take also notes on the books and articles you find and search those notes by keyword. (Google Docs also now has a citation feature under the Tools menu).

Go to the bibliographic management page to find out more: see "register for a workshop" tab.

Annotated Bibliographies

Oxford Bibliographies is a great source/model for annotated bibliographies (many subjects are represented).
