The Stokes Visualization Hub is a space and service that responds to the evolving digital research, data visualization, and qualitative analysis needs of the Princeton University community.
Mission
The Stokes Visualization Hub is a space and service that supports the interdisciplinary digital research and information visualization needs of the Princeton University community. The service is centralized in the E-classroom at Stokes Library in Wallace Hall. Stokes library staff, in collaboration with experts from other departments, work to design and teach workshops focusing on data visualization, qualitative data analysis and the digital research processes. A sampling of this is the following:
Qualitative Coding with Nvivo
Introduction to QDA Miner Lite and MAXQDA
Zotero Software Training
Intro to Graphics
Intro to Stata Graphics
Intro to R Graphics
In addition to workshops and lectures offered at the Stokes Viz Hub, the E-classroom is equipped with computing resources available to use by students and faculty. For details about the resources available in the space: https://library.princeton.edu/stokes/reserve-room/guidelines
Spring 2023 workshops include sessions focused on R, STATA, Zotero, social science network analysis, and library databases. The Stata expert at Stokes Library is Ofira Schwartz-Soicher. Ofira can be contacted for consultations here.
