How do I know if an article is peer reviewed?

Peer-review is one of many ways one can evaluate the quality of an article.

To determine if an article went through a peer review process we need to determine if the article was published in a peer-reviewed journal. We can Ulrich’s Periodical Directory and looking for the referee jersey icon ('refereed' is another way to say 'peer-reviewed)

1. Locate the title of the journal. For example

2. Search for the journal title (not the article title!) in Ulrich’s Periodical Directory 

3. Look for the referee jersey icon
