New Undergraduate Students' Checklist

Welcome to Princeton! The checklist below will help you get started with library resources. 

  1. Look up your Personal Librarian and ask for a zoom tour of library resources.

  2. Use the Ask Us service to reach library staff by chat or email.

  3. Connect your VPN to reach licensed library resources from any location and explore other aspects of remote access such as SonicWall and EZProxy.

  4. Connect your Princeton Google Account to Google Scholar to get full-text article links next to search results.

  5. Log in to your library account to browse our catalog and renew books. Many collections are accessible online.

  6. Explore our Special Collections' Virtual Services.

  7. Create an Article Express account for email delivery of journal articles and book chapters.

  8. Install Zotero to  organize research, format citations and create bibliographies.

  9. Install Anywhere Access on your favorite browsers to find articles in full-text.

  10. Subscribe to our library newsletter.

  11. Create an ORCiD ID using your Princeton email address to maintain authorship of your research.

  12. Create an Overleaf account for academic writing, figures and equations.
