Presidential Bill Signing Directives

The American Presidency Project has indexed Presidential Bill Signing Directives since 1929.

Presidential Directives

These are signed and authorized by the President and issued by the National Security Council. Most are not published. For further information, consult the Library of Congress's Presidential Directives and Where to Find Them.

Disposition tables available from the National Archives from Franklin D. Roosevelt to the current President.

Presidential Speeches

State of the Union and Inaugural speeches are available from the American Presidency Project from 1789-present

 

Daily Compilation of Presidential Documents

The Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents was published every Monday and was the official publication of presidential statements, messages, remarks, and other materials released by the White House Press Secretary. It began in 1965 and has been digitized and archived on FDsys since 1993 and by The American Presidency Project since 1977.

The Daily Compilation of Presidential Documents has replaced the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents as of January 29, 2009.

Vol. 1, no. 1 (Aug. 2, 1965)-v. 44, no. 52 (Jan. 5, 2009) of the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents is available in paper and shelved at J80 .W445 in Firestone stacks

Public Papers of the Presidents

The Public Papers of the Presidents is published by the Office of the Federal Register (OFR) and is the official publication of United States Presidents' public writings, addresses, and remarks.

  • The American Presidency Project has collected, organized, and archived the Messages and Papers of the Presidents and the Public Papers of the Presidents as well as other pertinent documents related to the American presidency.

The White House

The White House website includes information about the current administration, the history of the White House, and facts about the three branches of government. It also includes the current President's speeches, remarks, and statements on issues.
