CIF (Crystallographic Information Framework)

Crystallographic Information Framework (CIF) was developed by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) and adopted in 1990 as the standard file structure for the archiving and distribution of crystallographic information. The International Tables for Crystallography Volume G: Definition and exchange of Crystallographic Data is the standard reference for CIF. International Tables for Crystallography Volume G: Definition and exchange of cyrstallographic data. Category Atom_Site. Definition: Data items in the ATOM_SITE category record details about the atom sites in a crystal structure, such as the positional coordinates, atomic displacement parameters, and magnetic moments and directions.

Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML) is a free and open software data format for describing models in biology.
