CIF (Crystallographic Information Framework)
Crystallographic Information Framework (CIF) was developed by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) and adopted in 1990 as the standard file structure for the archiving and distribution of crystallographic information. The International Tables for Crystallography Volume G: Definition and exchange of Crystallographic Data is the standard reference for CIF.
