Princeton University Faculty-Authored Book Collection

This guide highlights monograph publications authored or edited by Princeton University faculty that have been collected as part of the Faculty-Authored Book Collection, housed in Firestone Library.

About the Collection

Though Princeton University Library has always collected books authored by its faculty, the renovation of Firestone Library, completed in 2019, made space for a more accessible collection of faculty-authored books. The Faculty Publication Collection resides on the first floor of Firestone Library at the perimeter of the Discovery Hub opposite the elevators. Books in this collection circulate for four weeks at a time.

The collection aims to curate monograph publications authored by Princeton-affiliated faculty in all disciplines from 2011 to the present. We will add works by Princeton faculty that are:

  • Single-authored publications
  • Co-authored
  • Edited by the faculty member (book, conference or symposium monograph)
  • New editions that have been substantially revised
  • Textbooks
  • Translations done by a faculty member of another author's work

In this particular collection we will not include festschrifts, reprints, or symposium or conference monographs in which a paper has been included.

If you would like your work added to the Faculty Publication Collection please contact your liaison or the selector for the collection, Jennifer Hunter at jenhunter@princeton.edu.
