The Stokes Visualization Hub is a space and service, that responds to the evolving digital research, data visualization, and qualitative analysis needs of the Princeton Students and Faculty, with a focus on SPIA and the related social sciences.

Introduction to Zotero

  • Downloading the software and connecting it to Microsoft Word and Google Docs
  • Adding sources to your Zotero library
  • Navigating Zotero tools, such as files and folders
  • Creating and editing Bibliographies

Description: In this introduction to GIS workshop, you will use ArcGIS Pro software to explore geographic data, tables and create maps. This workshop will also show how to use the GIS Portal site that Princeton University Library hosts to add geographic data downloaded over the internet, and analyze data and create maps and then share them with the public. No previous GIS experience is needed to take this workshop.

Description: All are invited to this hands-on workshop which will introduce attendees  to the principles of data visualization using R’s ggplot package. Participants will learn how to make visually appealing plots in a well-informed way, understanding the basic steps and language of the ggplot package.
