Google Books and Hathitrust

Google Books and Hathitrust have similar content and usage. Full text of materials published in the United States before 1928 are available in both of these resources. The full text for books after 1928 can not be accessed online because of copyright restrictions, but the search is still useful for two purposes:

  • Identifying useful titles.
  • Finding relevant information within a book.

If you find a book you want, check the Princeton catalog to see if Princeton owns it.
