Center for New American Security: Veterans Data Project"The first phase of the CNAS Veterans Data Project (underway now) will illuminate this population by gathering the available data regarding veterans’ demographic, social, political, economic and operational characteristics, analyzing it, and publishing this data for broader use by the community. The second phase of this project will leverage this population data to develop plausible alternative futures for the veterans community, and in parallel, develop data-driven strategies to address these scenarios. In the project’s third phase, CNAS will use the data to develop analyses how the public and private sector might act now to change these futures – to 'bend the curve' in positive ways that can improve and extend lives, reduce costs, and contribute to the public good."
