New Graduate Students' Checklist

Welcome to Princeton! The checklist below will help you get started with library resources. 

  1. Contact your Subject Specialist to learn about discipline-specific resources and request a virtual library tour.

  2. Connect your VPN to reach licensed library resources from any location and explore other aspects of remote access such as SonicWall and EZProxy.

  3. Log in to your library account to browse our catalog and renew books. Many collections are accessible online.

  4. Explore our Special Collections Virtual Services.

  5. Create an Article Express account to request email delivery of journal articles and book excerpts.

  6. Install Zotero or another citation manager to organize research, format citations and create bibliographies.

  7. Install Anywhere Access on your favorite browsers to find articles in full-text.

  8. Install BrowZine on your phone to get to recent journal articles.

  9. Use the Ask Us service to reach library staff by chat or email.

  10. Subscribe to our library newsletter.

  11. Create or connect your ORCiD ID using your Princeton email address to maintain authorship of your research.

  12. Create or connect your Overleaf account for academic writing, figures and equations.
