With the rise of online streaming platforms, podcasts are another common, affordable, and accessible medium for knowledge exchange. Lots of podcast platforms host LGBTQIA+ or feminist-specific content, and some even allow you to sort by this catagory. These podcasts might cover a range of topics from history and news to personal experiences to fictional stories or audio dramas. There are so many that anyone can find something that suits them! To get you started, here are a handful of queer and feminist podcasts available on most platforms.

  • Queer as Fact is a history podcast that discusses queer historical events and figures from all over the globe and throughout history.
  • The G.R.I.T.S. Co. is a podcast where queer Black southerners discuss their experiences and lifestories.
  • Gender Spiral Podcast explores different elements of gender experience and expression through conversations with queer and Trans individuals.
  • A OK interviews different folks on the asexual and/or aromantic spectrums about their experiences as a queer person.
  • Outward discusses news, culture, and politics impacting the queer community.
  • Lost Spaces discusses queer bars, venues, and other spaces that impacted queer history and queer lives.
