Citizen Science @ Princeton: Citizen Science 2019

Citizen Science Day @ Princeton

Citizen Science Day April 13, 2019

Citizen Science Day @ Princeton

The Event has Concluded.

This year, the Lewis Science Library, in partnership with the Council on Science and Technology, will be hosting Princeton's first-ever Citizen Science Day!

On April 13, 2019, the Princeton community will be participating in this year's featured citizen science event, the Stall Catchers Megathon

What is Stall Catchers?

Stall Catchers is an online citizen science game that anyone can play - no experience necessary. In the game, you look at movies from the brains of mice and try to identify vessels as flowing or stalled. This helps to speed up Alzheimer's disease research at Cornell University.

What is a Megathon?

Megathon is a 'mega catching marathon' played in Stall Catchers. On April 13, 2019 from 2-3:00pm EST, participants from around the world will play Stall Catchers at the same time. For ONE HOUR, participants will try to collect enough data to save researchers one year of research time in the lab and also break the world record for most participants in citizen science project.

Interested but can't make it to the event

Play from anywhere! Stall Catchers can be played on a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, If you can't make it to the event, you can still contribute to research by playing online from home or where ever you may be! Make sure that in StallCatchers you join our team, CitSciPrinceton! This will help us figure out how much data the Princeton community has gathered and how my time we have saved researchers in the lab!  Click here to join our team!
