Annual chartbook highlighting data on the most important aspects of the Social Security and Supplemental Security Income programs—the people they serve and the benefits they provide. Online from 2000 to present.

This publication covers the population aged 65 or older. The unit of analysis, with the exception of measures of poverty and family income of persons, is the aged unit, which is a married couple living together or a person who does not live with a spouse. Online from 1996 to present.

Tables include total income, pensions, assets, poverty status, etc. as well as social security income. Online from 2000 to present.

"This annual publication provides data on the Social Security population at the local level. It presents basic program data by type of benefit (retirement, survivors, and disability) and category of beneficiary (retired and disabled workers, wives and husbands, widows and widowers, and children)." It presents basic program data on the number and type of beneficiaries and the amount of benefits paid in each state, Social Security Administration field office, and ZIP Code.
