About this guide

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory started using Google Docs as collaborative software in 2011. Google Docs is not officially supported by most popular citation management software available. This guide is intended to help with creating citations and bibliographies in Google Docs using various citation management software.

This guide does not provide basic information on use or functionality of these citations managers. The information in this guide is meant for those who would like to use their favorite citation manager with Google Docs. 

Princeton University Library does not officially support the use of Papers or Mendeley. The software is not available from the library and guidance or workshops on their use are not offered by the library.
