General Science: Databases

Key resources for general science information and specific scientific literature databases

Specialized Databases

Main science category listings from Articles and Databases, and prime resources:

Scholarly, comprehensive databases

  • Web of Science (ISI)  (Sciences (1900+), Social Sciences (1898+), and Arts and Humanities (1975+).)
  • Scopus  (1996+) includes websites via SCIRUS.com, and patents, more International journals and proceedings

Both databases offer the option to find cited references, which are the authors lists of articles used in their research.

This is also called "citation searching".

Articles & Databases

All of Princeton University's databases can be found under Articles and Databases from the Library's home page.

They can be found alphabetically by keyword from the titles or descriptions, and by subject.  Links to the major science and technology subjects are given at left.
