Citation tracking in Web of Science: Citations and Alerts

This guide will give you a short introduction to Web of Science and show you some ways to view and track your personal publications.

Citation Alert

You can set up a citation alert and Web of Science will send you an email when someone cites your article. A Web of Science account is required to set up citation alerts. To create a Citation Alert, click on the Create Citation Alert box to the right of the article record.

The citation alert confirmation screen will appear. The citation alert confirmation screen also includes a link to create an RSS feed for citations to an article. You can manage your citation alerts by clicking on the My Citation Alerts link in the top right navigation menu. For more information about citation alerts and creating an account, view the following video.
