Skydex

Flexible, rubbery sheets of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that are molded with a regular array of square cup depressions and laid ‘back to back.’ The cups are bonded to each other to create a structure that has a degree of rigidity along its length, but provides good impact absorption, vibration damping and good overall cushioning. Applications include mattresses, seating, helmet cushioning, boat decking, blast mitigation, and body armor.
