Using EndNote at Princeton: SearchIt@PUL: Catalog+ and Course Reserves

If you need help with Zotero, see this guide .

Exporting to EndNote from SearchIt@PUL: Books+

1.  After searching in SearchIt@PUL: Books+, save items by checking them off and then clicking on the e-Shelf & Search History link in the top right corner of the screen.
2.  Select all the items in your Basket by clicking on the top checkbox.
3.  In the rightmost Select how to save drop-down menu, select Push to EndNote Web and click Go.

4.  Follow the instructions below to import these citations into EndNote.

From within EndNote (after following above directions)

A small box will appear, prompting you to open or save the .ris file*. Follow prompts to open the file. The exact steps will vary depending on what browser you're using, and whether you're on a Mac or PC.

Note: If you are unable to open the file, select Save File instead. In EndNote's top menu bar, go to File → Import → File. A small "Import File" window will appear. Browse for the file you just saved. Click Import.

Either EndNote will render you citation immediately, or you will be prompted to select an "Import Option". For .ris files, select Reference Manager (RIS). For other file types use the filter corresponding to the name of the database.

*For some databases, you might see another file extension, such as .ciw, .nbib, .enw etc.
