What is TigerTags

TigerTags is the the username of the Del.icio.us account for the Princeton University Library (PUL). Hundreds of the Princeton's electronic resources are bookmarked and tagged in Del.icio.us. Here are two exciting uses for tigertags

  1. Patrons and librarians who use Del.icio.us can save bookmarks to their favorite PUL databases when they view our TigerTags page at: http://del.icio.us/tigertags
  2. Librarians can use this account to create an RSS feed for a specific tag. When that feed is used in LibGuides, one can easily create a quick listing of all the resources that have been assigned that tag. For an example, look at the box below for a list of resources have been given the the tag "rss_alerts".

Example: "RSS_Alerts" in Del.icio.us

A list of databases that Princeton University Library subscribes to that provide an RSS search alerting feature.

Feed For The Tag "RSS" in Del.icio.us

Del.icio.us is a site that allows you to save your favorite bookmarks on the site and share them with others. You can also "tag" your bookmarks with keywords that indicate their significance to you. Del.icio.us also allows you to create an RSS Feed for any tag so you can be notified anytime someone assigns that tag to a website. The feed below is for the tag"RSS" in del.icio.us:
