Features and Functionality

Searching: Perform basic and advanced searches by keyword, fulltext, author, title, etc. Browse or narrow by subject.

Reading: Books are read from within a web browser using either the Ebrary QuickView reader or their Plug-in reader. Quickview is the default reader. Both options have the same functionality.

Downloading: Ebrary does not allow downloading of any portion of an e-book without creating a login, however you can select, copy and paste up to a full page of text into another document. Create a login to download up to about a chapter or the whole book for a 14 day loan. For more information see Wayne Bivens-Tatum's Ebrary Ebook Downloads guide.

Printing: The number of pages you can print from a book is set by the publisher, but in general the maximum is 30 pages. Printed pages include a bibliographic citation to the book they were printed from. To print from QuickView select print from the Infotools menu, from the Plug-in reader, click on the print button.

Additional functionality: Set up a personal login to create an Ebrary bookshelf and highlight and annotate your documents. To set up an account, visit https://site.ebrary.com/lib/princeton/login.action while on the Princeton University network and click create an account.
